When I first started the carnivore diet, I realized that most jerky and meat snacks contain spices, sugars, and seed oils. This made it tricky to find snacks to have on hand for travel and when "on the go".
I've searched far and wide for all the companies that make snacks that fit in with a strict carnivore diet, and there are actually more options than you might think!
Personally, I enjoy making my own jerky wherever possible. If you want to make your own crispy beef chips, check out my recipe here. They are delicious and you will save money making your own! But we recognize that convience does have a place, and sometimes it's nice to have some carnivore snacks on hand that you don't have to prepare in advance.
Here's the ultimate list of companies that offer meat and dairy snacks that fit in with a 100% carnivore diet (no seasonings, spices, or additives). Just meat and salt. Keep scrolling to find a list of clean meat snacks that are better suited for those on a more "animal-based" or relaxed carnivore diet.
Carnivore Snack Brands
Ingredients: Pasture-raised meat, redmond salt
Carnivore Snax is my very favorite meat snack! They are pricey, but so filling and make for a great meal replacement when traveling. I'd recommend the ribeye or the brisket.

Ingredients: Grass-fed beef tallow, grass-fed beef, redmond salt
These pemmican bars are very nutrient dense and light weight. I love having them on hand for traveling and hiking.

Ingredients: Grass-fed beef tallow, beef isolate protein powder, pork rinds, salt
Power Pucks have an unflavored version of their pucks that fits within a strict carnivore diet. Personally, I'm not a big fan (being 100% honest), it's dense and tastes like tallow and protein powder with no flavor. But I do really enjoy their flavored options!

People's Choice Jerky Arizona Grass Raised Beef Jerky
Their "naked" beef crisps are made with just beef and salt. They are so light and crispy! If you're craving chips, this is a great one to try.
Ingredients: Beef, Redmond Salt
Personally I haven't tried these yet, but they seem to have good reviews and come at a lower price point than some of the brands with grass-finished beef
They have a "naked" flavor option that just has meat and salt.
I haven't tried these but found them on etsy. Just meat and salt!
Fond Bone Broth has a line of unflavored broths that literally only have grass-fed bones, salt, and water as ingredients. It's the only broth brand I've seen that offers 100% carnivore options. It is so tasty and nourishing!

Their unflavored beef isolate protein powder only has one ingredient: grass-fed beef. I'm not sure how it tastes without any flavoring, though.

Pork rinds are often fried in pork fat. We like the Epic brand and they have a flavor that is just pork and salt.
The only ingredients in these are cheese and salt! Look out for them at Costco, as they'll be cheaper there. They are a great crispy, salty snack!
They have bison liver and elk heart crisps! This is a great way to get the nutrients of organ meats. They have some options with just salt and others with seasonings.
Animal-Based Diet Snack Brands
For those that are doing more of an "animal-based" diet or a relaxed carnivore diet, these are some great meat snacks that have clean ingredients. Many of the brands listed above also have other options that have seasonings or flavors.
These are our "go to" meat snack! They are so tasty and affordably priced. And the ingredients are very clean!

We've tried Chomps and like them, but they are quite dry and lack flavor in comparison to Paleovalley beef sticks. You can sometimes find them at Costco for a good price.
These bison sticks are delicious! One thing to keep in mind is that they are not shelf stable so need to be kept in the fridge or freezer.
